The learning practice
Before people communicate a brand, they need to know how to think for it.
Pre-Ducation is the learning practice of PreDeciders. It brings pre-decision thinking into the organisation to the leaders and teams responsible not only for what a brand does, but for what it means, how it behaves and what it chooses to stand for.
The problem
Communication starts long before communication begins.
Designed for C-level leaders and selected teams, Pre-Ducation works upstream of execution: where positioning, reputation, technology, culture and business intent first become choices.
Brand, marketing and corporate communications teams are often expected to protect meaning after decisions have already been made.
We believe they should be equipped to influence those decisions earlier.
Pre-Ducation is designed for teams whose work requires judgment before output.
For the people who shape the brand before they express it
- 01
Brand
The people defining what the organisation stands for and what it should never become.
- 02
Corporate Communications & Reputation
The people reading how decisions will be understood, trusted, questioned or resisted.
- 03
Marketing
The people translating business intent into choices the market can recognise and believe.
- 04
Leadership
The people ultimately deciding what the organisation will commit to.
The problem
Small rooms. Real thinking.
The programme can be delivered to C-level leaders or to selected functional teams, depending on where the organisation needs stronger pre-decision capability.
Pre-Ducation is delivered live online to intentionally limited groups. Team programmes are designed for up to 15 participants.
Not because learning needs to feel exclusive. Because judgment cannot be developed in a crowd.
Small groups allow us to work with real tensions, challenge assumptions, examine competing perspectives and move beyond generic answers.
The work begins before the brief.
Pre-Ducation does not teach teams how to write better messages, build better campaigns or present better decks. It works one level earlier.
The objective is to make communication teams better participants in the decision, not simply better executors of it.
- 01
What the brand can credibly claim
- 02
What reputation it is actually creating
- 03
Whether technology supports the promise
- 04
Where organisational behaviour contradicts narrative
- 05
Whether the timing strengthens or weakens the move
How Pre-Ducation works
- 01Read the decision
- Identify what is really being decided beneath the brief, request or business objective.
- 02Surface the assumptions
- Recognise what the organisation is taking for granted about itself, its audiences, its capabilities and the market.
- 03Connect consequence
- See how decisions travel across brand, reputation, technology, culture and business.
- 04Form a position
- Develop a point of view strong enough to influence the decision before execution begins.
The problem
From functional expertise to strategic judgment
The strongest brand and communications teams do more than represent the organisation. They help the organisation understand itself before it acts.
Pre-Ducation develops that capability. Not by giving participants another framework to memorise, but by strengthening the way they interpret, question and participate in consequential decisions.
The problem
A practice, not a course
Pre-Ducation is part of a broader ambition behind PreDeciders: to establish pre-decision thinking as a distinct professional practice.
Each programme carries the same principle into the organisation: expertise creates more value when it enters before the decision than when it is asked to repair the consequences afterwards.
For your organisation
Bring pre-decision thinking into your organisation.
Tell us where stronger judgment would change the way your team works. We will shape the Pre-Ducation programme around that point.
The people responsible for a brand’s meaning should have a voice before that meaning is decided for them.
